In the context of a rapidly changing world driven by globalization and the digital technology revolution, global education is facing unprecedented challenges. According to the "Future of Jobs Report 2023" by the World Economic Forum, over 85% of organizations worldwide are accelerating the adoption of new and advanced technologies, leading to the need for 44% of workers' skills to be updated within the next five years. At the same time, UNESCO emphasizes that skills are a key factor in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, particularly in ensuring quality, inclusive, and equitable education, as well as promoting lifelong learning for all.
Meanwhile, according to the World Bank, more than 250 million children worldwide still lack adequate access to education. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated educational disparities among social groups, particularly affecting vulnerable children. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in its "Education at a Glance 2024" report, highlights the crucial role of technology in bridging educational gaps, with 78% of member countries increasing investment in digital infrastructure and innovative teaching methods.
In this context, the organization of the International Conference on Educational Sciences and Foreign Language Teaching (ICEF) 2025, under the theme "Reimagining Education: Inclusive Education, Educational Collaboration, and Lifelong Learning in a Globalized World," holds special significance. Regarding inclusive education, a UNESCO report indicates that promoting skills for work and life through technical and vocational education and training (TVET) helps young people and adults develop the necessary capabilities, knowledge, values, and attitudes to secure good employment and contribute to building a peaceful, healthy, just, and sustainable world. In terms of educational collaboration, a 2024 OECD study shows that educational institutions with strong international cooperation networks often achieve significant advancements in improving education quality and research, thanks to knowledge and resource sharing among partners. Regarding lifelong learning, UNESCO states that developing technical and vocational skills is essential to meeting the demands of a changing labor market and fostering lifelong learning for all.
The conference covers a wide range of topics focusing on key aspects of education in the globalized era. From promoting inclusive education and lifelong learning to applying technology and innovative pedagogical methods, the conference highlights the importance of preparing learners for the future. In the field of educational technology, it particularly emphasizes leveraging technology to create fair and accessible learning environments, as well as integrating artificial intelligence into teaching through adaptive learning systems and automated assessment tools. Regarding educational management, the conference will focus on inclusive management strategies, developing flexible management models, and building sustainable organizations in a global context. Other topics include the role of multilingualism and multiculturalism in education, professional competency development in translation and interpretation, as well as advanced teaching methodologies such as English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Content-Based Instruction (CBI), Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI). Special attention will also be given to educational psychology and sustainable development, aiming to build a comprehensive, inclusive, and adaptable education system in response to modern global changes.
ICEF 2025 is not only an academic forum but also a platform that connects policymakers, researchers, educators, and education experts from around the world. Through in-depth discussions, research presentations, and the sharing of practical experiences, the conference aims to propose innovative and sustainable solutions to modern educational challenges, contributing to shaping the future of global education.
